Highlights from iHeartRadio’s LIVE Event with Carrie Underwood In Horizon Worlds
Olivia and I had the opportunity to check out iHeartRadio’s LIVE with Carrie Underwood event in Horizon Worlds, which was amazing! Carrie put on an incredible show, and the Horizon community loved the venue. Some of the concert’s highlights were Carrie’s powerful vocals and the incredible camera shots that made you feel like you were at the show. Plus, iHeart and Horizon took the concert to the next level by hosting an After Party event in Horizon Worlds.
The iHeartRadio & Carrie Underwood Experience
So many of you have probably heard about the iHeartRadio Live concert with Carrie Underwood, which took place in Horizon Worlds recently. Knowing that not all of you have an Oculus2 Headset (affiliate links are used where possible), Metalivia and I went to the event and took some notes to share with you. The venue in Horizon Worlds was amazing. Below are some photos I snapped to help show you what it was like. The images are cool, but you’ll never get the full effect until you put on the Oculus and experience it firsthand. It felt like you were at the concert. Plus, they had a live DJ from iHeartRadio, introducing Carrie and talking to her during the show.
Venues In Horizon Worlds
The cool thing about the concerts in venues is they last for weeks, and the event will continue to bring in more people over the time it is available in the venue area. So it’s not just a one-time event. If you cannot make it on the event date, no worries; choose another time that works for you. It would be interesting to find out from iHeartRadio what kind of attendance they received during this event.
The Horizon Worlds After Party Event
After the live event, iHeartRadio hosted an After Party event for the Carrie Underwood concert. The photo above is from one angle of the After Party world. Creating a place for people to go hang out after the show was a great idea! I didn’t make it to the official After Party, but Olivia and I had a blast checking it out and seeing what they did to make this a unique event. They had a dance floor, beverage area, and lounge area where people could sit down to talk with friends, all while Carrie’s music video streamed on a big screen. If you and your friends decided to grab a seat at the lounge to hang out, the audio for the music lowered so you could enjoy a good conversation with your friends. Plus, a bonus was cornhole sets for people to play together.
The Future For Horizon Worlds Creators
I would encourage everyone to pay attention to what’s happening in Venues because I believe it’s a glimpse of what’s to come for all Horizon Worlds Creators. A few things I noticed at the After Party was the ability to hang real photos and logos on the walls and the ability to play videos in the world. I cannot wait till these features become available for HW Creators and the worlds they’re creating. Our world, the Killer Bee Studios, already features an outdoor stage called the “On The Lawn” stage for live performances. Plus, we feature audio samples from upcoming Artists in the “Audio Booth,” listing all the ways visitors can stream their music. Having the ability to bring in videos and real photos will be KILLER!
Broadcasting In The Metaverse & Possibilities It Brings
The possibilities that the metaverse will bring to the broadcasting industry are limitless. Olivia (AKA Metalivia) said she would pay to go to a Rascal Flatts concert in the metaverse. She said the experience could be incredible!
Imagine your radio station hosting an after-party for your listeners or followers after a concert. Have your DJs hang out in your virtual world to connect and engage with real people that love your station. Play some cornhole, kick back in a booth to connect, and maybe even have a selfie wall for visitors to snap photos with you. Here’s a selfie Olivia and I snapped before the iHeartRadio Live event with Carrie Underwood.
Can We Ignore The Metaverse
We cannot afford to ignore the metaverse possibilities because it’s the future of entertainment and connection. iHeartRadio is just one example of a company taking advantage of what Horizon Worlds offers, and I believe we’ll see many more to come. Here’s what Carrie had to say about her iHeartRadio LIVE show experience:
“I’m thrilled to be partnering with iHeartRadio to celebrate my album Denim and Rhinestones and bring these new songs to my fans in VR with Meta Horizon Worlds. This album has already marked a special time in my career in the months since its release and I’m so excited to celebrate it with the people who have made it special. This is also my first time performing for a VR audience and I’m so excited to connect with my fans in a new way.”

As Christian broadcasters, I don’t think this is something we can or should ignore. What do you think about iHeartRadio’s decision to be active in the metaverse? Have you been to any events in Horizon Worlds? How did it compare to real life? Let us know in the comments below.
It will be interesting to see what the future holds for broadcasters in the metaverse and the opportunities it will create for us to connect with people searching for hope in a virtual world.
If you’re open to discussing the possibilities further, contact us at Killer Bee Strategies. Our Horizon Worlds Creators can help your virtual reality vision become a reality.
